This Privacy Policy explains how DoevaClips Team ("DoevaClips", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you use the DoevaClips mobile application (the "App") and related services (collectively, the "Services").

The App is intended for users aged 17 and older. If you are under 17, do not use the Services.

If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use the Services.

1) Summary

  • We collect information you provide (such as account details and support messages) and information collected automatically (such as device data, usage analytics, and crash logs).
  • With your permission, we may collect approximate or precise location.
  • Photos you choose to use in the App are stored locally by default. If you choose to upload content for optional server-side processing (including AI-assisted features), we process it on our own servers only, do not share it with third parties, and delete it promptly after processing.
  • We do not sell personal information.

2) Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information.

2.1 Information You Provide

  • Account information: name, username, email address.
  • Customer support: content of messages you send to us and related information needed to resolve your request.
  • Contact lens records you enter: product details, opening dates, replacement cycles, daily wear patterns, inventory notes, and reminders you configure.

2.2 Photos and Media

The App may allow you to take or select photos of your lenses and related items.

  • By default, photos are stored locally on your device (subject to your device settings).
  • We do not perform face recognition and do not create biometric identifiers from your photos.
  • We do not use your photos for advertising/marketing profiling.
  • We do not use your photos to train machine learning models.

2.3 AI / Server-Side Processing (Optional)

Certain optional features may involve uploading text and/or images to our servers for processing (for example, generating structured lens records from your inputs, improving organization, or producing summaries/outputs within the App). If you use such features:

  • Processing location: Your uploaded text/images are processed on DoevaClips Team-controlled servers.
  • No third-party sharing: We do not share your uploaded content with any third party.
  • One-time processing: Your uploaded content is used only to generate the result you request (one-time processing for that request).
  • Deletion: We delete uploaded text/images promptly after processing is completed.
  • Your control: You control whether to upload content and whether to generate any resulting content.
Note: "AI-assisted" means automated processing used to help you organize and manage lens information; it does not provide medical advice.

2.4 Information Collected Automatically

  • Device information: device model, operating system version, language, time zone, app version, and identifiers (where permitted by law and settings).
  • Usage data and analytics: feature usage, interaction events, approximate usage patterns, and performance metrics.
  • Crash logs and diagnostics: crash reports and error logs to help diagnose and fix issues.

2.5 Location Information (With Permission)

If you grant permission, we may collect precise or approximate location, depending on the permission you grant and your device settings. You can revoke location permission at any time in your device settings.

2.6 Cookies and Similar Technologies

If any part of the Services is accessed via web-based components, we may use cookies, local storage, SDKs, pixels, and similar technologies (which may include web beacons) to keep you logged in, remember preferences, maintain session security, and measure performance and reliability.

3) How We Use Information

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Services (including account management).
  • Personalize your experience (such as reminders and preferences).
  • Improve and develop the Services (debugging, analytics, performance).
  • Ensure security, prevent fraud, and protect users and the Services.
  • Provide customer support and respond to requests.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

We do not sell your personal information.

4) How We Disclose Information

We may disclose information only as follows, and only to the minimum extent necessary:

  • With your consent: when you direct us to do so.
  • Service providers (processors): trusted vendors performing services under our instructions.
  • Legal requirements: to comply with law or protect rights, safety, and security.
  • Business transfers: in connection with mergers, acquisitions, or asset sales.
Important AI content note: For AI/server-side processing described above, we process content on our own servers and do not share your uploaded text/images with any third party.

5) International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than where you live. When we transfer personal information internationally, we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or other lawful transfer mechanisms, as required.

6) Data Security

We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect information, including encryption, access controls, audits, and backups. No method is 100% secure.

7) Data Retention

  • Account information: for the duration of your account.
  • After account deletion: delete or anonymize within 30 days, unless required/permitted by law.
  • Usage analytics: up to 12 months (often aggregated or de-identified where feasible).
  • Customer support content: up to 6 months after the matter is closed.
  • AI/server-side uploaded content (if you choose to upload): deleted promptly after processing is completed.

8) Your Rights and Choices

9) Children’s Privacy

The Services are not intended for users under 17, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from users under 17.

10) Third-Party Services and Links

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version and update the Effective Date.
